Saint Paul Lower Church Construction

As of November 11, 2023, the Lower Church remains closed. Much of the work has been completed for reopening and we hope to have the opportunity to do so soon. Due to flooding at the beginning of August, the lower church was closed and will remain so until work to restore it is completed. We are sorry for any incovenience. There is a portable toilet located at the back of the church in the parking lot. 

Masses

As has been the case since the beginning of the closure, all daily and Sunday Masses will be celebrated in Saint Paul upper church.

Friday Adoration

Effective Friday, September 8, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Fridays will take place at Resurrection of Our Lord, 1057 Main St, Hingham, until work in the lower church is completed. Due to wedding rehearsals, funerals and school events, the adoration schedule cannot be as consistent as we would like it to be if it were taking place in the lower church, and for this reason we are moving adoration on Fridays to Resurrection temporarily. An announcement will be made when this temporary arrangment ceases. We are also returning to our regular schedule of 24 hours of adoration on First Fridays, and from 8 a.m. -9 p.m. every other Friday. 

Divine Mercy Chaplet and Confessions

The Divine Mercy Chaplet will continue to be prayed as normal at Saint Paul every day at 3pm with adoration. The Sacrament of Penance will continue to be available on Friday afternoons in Saint Paul upper church from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
